At the end of the year the two teams left are Collingwood and West Coast, you wouldn’t have picked Collingwood to make it all the way through to the Grand Final a few weeks ago but here we are. It’s set up to be a great Grand Final so I’ll have a look and pick my best Grand Final Betting Tips.
Collingwood V West Coast
Saturday 2:30pm – MCG
Both teams go in unchanged from the preliminary finals and not surprisingly considering they both had convincing wins. There are injury clouds for both teams in the back line though with Jeremy Howe suffering an ankle injury in the prelim and rumours that McGovern has been unable to train all week.
Both teams have been playing high pressure football in the finals and the fact that this game will be played at the MCG won’t really favour either team. The Eagles had their new stadium built to the exact dimensions as the MCG and this seems to have helped their form at the G considering they won both games at the MCG this year including beating Collingwood by 35 points in round 15.
The key to this game will be who stands up in the forward line, the West Coast forward line is a lot stronger and has more depth and talent than Collingwoods. Mason Cox won’t perform like he did last week where he was marking everything that came his way and slotting through the goals. Other than Mason they don’t really have another tall marking forward where as the Eagles have Kennedy and Darling.
I see the potent forward line of the Eagles getting the job done.
Tip – West Coast to win – $2.25 @ BetEasy
Norm Smith Medal
I’ve tipped the Eagles to win and quite clearly their best midfielder when he’s on is Elliott Yeo so i’ll be taking Eliott to win the Norm Smith.
Tip – Elliott Yeo – $10 @ BetEasy
