UFC 226 takes place in Las Vegas Nevada and has what looks like the best card of the year. History could be made in the Main Event when Daniel Cormier takes on the Heavyweight Champ Stipe Miocic for the title. We have looked through the main card to find the best UFC 226 betting tips.
The co-main event of Max Holloway and Brian Ortega is going to be one of the best fights of the year. Brian T-City Ortega is undefeated after 14 fights and Max Holloway is the featherweight champion on a 12 fight win streak.
Francis Ngannou returns after his fight with Stipe Miocic where he was shown to have 0 gas tank and can’t go past the 2nd round. The punching power is still there though and he takes on a fellow striker in Derrick lewis so this will be one of the more brutal fights on the card.
Michael Chiesa is back after having his face cut in the infamous Conor McGregor bus incident. He takes on Anthony Pettis who has only won 2 of his past 7 fights. The interesting part of this fight is the fact they are both submission specialists.

Stipe Miocic V Daniel Cormier
Miocic V Cormier is a certified super fight, 2 undisputed champions of their divisions face off to claim the Heavyweight Title. If Daniel Cormier can take care of Miocic he will be only the second fighter in UFC history to hold two different weight titles simultaniously.
The jump up to heavyweight shouldn’t be an issue for Cormier as his first MMA title was at Strikeforce in the heavyweight division. It wasn’t until he entered the UFC and his training partner Cain Velasquez was challenging for the heavyweight title that DC stepped down to light heavyweight out of respect for his training partner.
Cormiers only loss in his career is at the hands of Jon Jones (twice) who is currently suspended by USADA after testing positive straight after both Cormier fights. Jon Jones is the best fighter the UFC has ever seen.
Miocic shouldn’t be overlooked, he was in his last fight against Francis Ngannou where he managed to take the fight to the deep water and win with his superior wrestling ability.
I expect a great fight that will probably go the distance but Cormiers wrestling is likely to be a little better than Miocic and I think Cormier will get the win on points.
Prediction: Daniel Cormier to win – $3.00 @ Ladbrokes – BET HERE
Max Holloway V Brian Ortega
The Co-Main Event is set to be a ripper with the Featherweight Champion Max Holloway taking on the challenger Brian Ortega. Brian is one of the most exciting up and coming fighters in recent times and really jumped into the mainstream with his 2 recent wins against Cub Swanson and Frankie Edgar.
Ortega’s strength is his jiu jitsu, half of his fights are won by submission and his nickame T-City stands for Triangle City. With the Triangle being his most dangerous move. Ortega has shown how much his striking has improved recently winning three of his last 6 fights by TKO/KO.
Max Holloway is on a 12 fight win streak and seems to get better each fight. His most recent 2 wins against Jose Aldo proves his worth as the Featherweight Champion.
It’s going to be an interesting fight but I like the up and comer Brian Ortega to keep his unbeaten record and to claim the Featherweight Title.
I feel Ortega has a few more strings to his bow and will get the win over Max who is a more one dimensional fighter.
Prediction: Brian Ortega to win – $2.65 @ Ladbrokes – BET HERE
Francis Ngannou V Derrick Lewis
We’re likely to see a knock out in this one, Francis Ngannou has the most powerful punch the UFC has ever seen and is up against Derrick Lewis who is also a stand and banger.
Derrick has been knocked out 3 times in his career and is susceptible to being knocked out when he meets a bigger stronger opponent which Ngannou is. Ngannou has never been knocked out and has won all of his fights by KO/TKO or Submission.
I see Derricks only shot in this fight is to land a lucky punch or to take it to the third round where Francis is likely to tire out, although I don’t see the fight getting there. Ngannou has a bowling ball head and will be throwing everything early so look for a KO in the first or second.
Prediction: Francis Ngannou to win by KO/TKO/SUB – $1.50 @ Ladbrokes – BET HERE
- Francis Ngannou by KO/TKO/SUB
